Michael Berardino, Ed.D
Senior Associate, Research, Impact, Evaluation, and Policy
Michael works with the Research, Evaluation and Policy team leading and supporting statistical research for CCE. His prior research focuses on issues of equity in public education policy, specifically looking at the impacts of language instruction and high-stakes testing policies on English Language Learners, with additional research experience with Latino student outcomes, school discipline, and civic engagement. Prior to joining CCE, Michael served several roles including Coordinator of the Boston Public Schools’ ELL Task Force, Research Associate at the Gaston Institute of UMass Boston focusing on Latino student experiences and outcomes, and Government Services Specialist at the Collins Center of UMass Boston providing data support for numerous school districts across Massachusetts. He has a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University, a M.S. from University of Massachusetts Boston, and is a doctoral candidate in Public Policy at UMass Boston.
