Envisioning an Equitable Future Through Personalized Learning

This event, held in partnership with The Boston Foundation, will bring educators together to learn more about personalized learning that is happening in Massachusetts now, and think about how we can shape the future of education across the state. Breakout sessions will highlight what personalized learning looks like in the classroom, with schools presenting on strategies including project-based learning, competencies, and student advisories. A lunch panel will feature local leaders and policymakers discussing what do we need to do to bring personalized learning to all students in MA. The keynote speaker, Ron Berger of EL Education, will be presenting on authentic learning.

This is a free event. A light breakfast and full lunch will be served.

Micro-credentials and the Future of Professional Learning for Educators

Join us as CCE and Rhode Island teachers reflect on our Assessment Literacy and Performance Assessment micro-credentials pilot program, examining the value of micro-credentials in educator professional learning. During this free event, funded by a grant from the Assessment for Learning Project, we will discuss:

  • Micro-credential Design: Process and Product
  • The Learner Experience: Drivers and Barriers
  • Micro-credentials and Adult Educators
  • Policy Implications: Micro-credentials and Our Professional Learning Systems

During this info session, we will provide a detailed overview of the institute’s topics, structure, and logistics, and will include time to address participants’ questions.

Online Webinar. The need for schools to instruct and assess critical habits, skills, and dispositions is stronger now than ever. But how do you assess qualities like "Collaboration" or "Creativity?" Founded in CCE’s research-based Quality Performance Assessment model, this webinar presents a set of protocols, tools, and methods for developing performance assessments that are tightly aligned to the essential habits and dispositions - including creativity, collaboration, communication, and self-direction. Attendees will receive copies of all webinar resources and materials.
