Our unique multi-pronged Educator Pathway creates a sustainable pool of local educators who reflect and understand their communities. This program is rooted in the beliefs that educators who share a background, common lived experiences and a core belief that communities are assets in shaping education will be able to successfully address students and families unique needs, foster stronger relationships, and contribute to a more robust educational environment.

CCE has a rich history of advocating for and supporting community-driven education. Our Educator Pathway work began in California as a response to the growing need for educators who could connect with students from various backgrounds. Since its inception, CCE has successfully partnered with schools and communities to recruit, train, and support aspiring educators, particularly in underserved areas. This initiative has grown to become a cornerstone of CCE’s mission, demonstrating the power of locally-sourced educational leadership.
The Community and School Educator Pathway offers a holistic framework for developing future educators by integrating recruitment, mentorship and dedicated support systems with high quality teacher preparation. By collaborating with educational institutions and community partners, we ensure that teacher candidates receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive in classroom environments.
