Richard strengthens equitable partnerships between communities and schools across all CCE programs. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School, guiding students in applying legal expertise to education and community collaboration. Prior to joining CCE, Richard was Deputy Executive Director of NYU’s Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and Transformation of Schools and led the Center for Education Organizing at Brown University’s Annenberg Institute. A veteran advocate for educational equity, he previously co-directed the National Coalition of Advocates for Students. Richard holds a B.A. in History from Brown University and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
